| On the 22nd April Stone Hardy’s new site in Avonmouth was officially opened by Sir Stirling Moss OBE, renowned retired motor racing driver who raced from 1948 to 1962 and won 194 of the 497 races he entered, including 16 in Formula One Grands Prix
The site covers over half an acre and is the culmination of 2 years work. The purpose built, four bay workshop is capable of accommodating all sizes of vehicles up to 13.6m lifting deck trailers. The facility benefits from modern office accommodation and a comprehensive stores facility covering all major manufacturers.
Stone Hardy is the market leader in the service and repair of tail lifts and shutters for commercial and passenger vehicles. We offer 24 hours a day, 365 days per year service for both tail lifts and shutters with teams throughout our regional locations which are based in Bathgate, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, London and Northampton.
We currently have 65 mobile tail lift engineers that enable us to provide extremely good coverage throughout the UK. Our service vans are well specified in terms of equipment and carry a good selection of manufacturer’s parts. Our engineers are well trained, knowledgeable and can deal with most emergency situations
